Privacy policy

Mu Labs ("we", "us") provides software engineering and applied AI services. This policy explains what personal data we collect through mu-labs.com and in the course of our work, why, and what rights you have over it.

Who is responsible

Mu Labs is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Reach us at [email protected] or at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

mu-labs.com is operated by Mu Labs, registered in England and Wales, company number 17407441, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

Where we handle personal data inside a client's systems during an engagement, the client is the controller and we act as a processor under the terms of that engagement.

What we collect

When you contact us

Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your company, and whatever you tell us about your situation. We collect this because you sent it to us.

When you visit the site

Standard server log information including IP address, browser type and pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

We do not buy personal data, we do not collect special category data through this site, and the site is not directed at children.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To communicate with you and to carry out work you have asked us to do.
  • To keep the site available and secure.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not use anything you send us to train machine learning models.

Who else sees it

Only the service providers we need to operate: hosting, email, and standard business tools. They process data on our instructions and under contract. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

Messages sent through our contact form are delivered by Web3Forms.

Where it goes

We are based in the United Kingdom. Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, transfers are covered by adequacy decisions or by standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements: one year, then deleted. Engagement records: for the life of the contract and seven years after, to meet accounting and limitation requirements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
